"Is anyone among you suffering? They should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? They should sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? They should summon the presbyters of the Church, and they shall pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise them up. If they have committed any sins, they will be forgiven." James 5: 13-15
Purpose
The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing, offered to anyone experiencing serious illness, preparing for surgery, or in danger of death. It may be received more than once and the threat of death need not be imminent.

Parishioners who are unable to get to Church due to illness or age are encouraged to call or email Deacon Duncan Harris at the Pastoral Offices.Mass Celebrated with the Anointing of the Sick - St. Joseph's Church and Holy Spirit One Wed. every other Month at 11am with simple luncheon following.
